At Saturday's Gokey's Auction, there are about 800 items up for grabs! And collectors are bound to have a field day with the contents from the old Bissell Grocery and Department store in Newcomb.
"We went through attics, sheds and storage areas and came out with a lot of very good, quality items," auctioneer John Gokey told Schroon Laker today.
"There are a lot of collectables, metals signs, some very good finds."
Among the highlights: a 10 cent cigar vending machine, a Coke vending machine and a 1940s era Texaco Gas Pump, which John expects could go for between $1500 to $1800.
There is a lot of rustic furniture from an estate in Lake Placid and hundreds of other goods, including toys, household items, tools and furniture from a third estate.
The preview stats at 12:30pm and the sale starts at 2pm. John expects the auction to last at least five hours.
Gokey's is located at exit 29 in North Hudson. 518 532-9323
