ADK Shakes 2014: Really Shaking Things Up

The Adirondacks Shakespeare Company is charging ahead with its most ambitious season yet:  five uncut plays by Shakespeare, an original children's show  -- David and Goliath -- that features a nine and a half foot tall puppet, with performances all over the North Country.

Tonight is the opening of Richard II, described as one of Shakespeare’s most lyrically beautiful written plays. Richard II traces the tragic downfall of a king blinded by power. When rebellion topples Richard from the throne, England is plunged into strife for generations to come. That's tonight at 7:30pm at the Schroon Lake Strand Theater. We recently caught up with ADK Shakes’ co-founder Patrick Siler, to talk about the huge challenge ahead, how the company prepares and  that puppet.
