The 2015 Adirondack Sportsmen's Dinner
/One of “Dacks premiere events, the annual Adirondack Sportsmen Dinner, has almost sold out. That’s the happy headline from Pastor David Peterson, from Schroon Lake's Mountainside Bible Chapel, sponsor of the March 15 event. Click here for information to get the last of the tickets.
The event, which attracts hundreds from all over the ADKS, the Flatlands, Vermont and Canada is free, but donations (buckets are passed at the event) are warmly received. We’ve attended two Sportsmen’s Dinners and have been impressed with the quality of the event, from the dinner (and AMAZING PIES), the seminars and workshops, and guest speakers.
This year’s speaker is Big Game Hunter, Paige Patterson, the eighth president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Besides his evangelism and global missions, he is an avid outdoorsman, from scuba diving and hunting: he has taken three of the African "big five" (lion, leopards, and buffalo.
Another big draw: Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes are given away throughout the program. Check out our handy checklist for the big day, in our Winter in The ‘Dacks section.
