Halloween in Schroon is one unofficial holiday that folks take seriously.  And this weekend is jammed packed.

On Friday, the Schroon Lake Central School’s Senior Class of 2016 is holding a harvest dinner featuring roast pork and all the fixings with an amazing homemade apple pie crisp with vanilla ice-cream. That kicks off at 4:30pm (until 7pm) in the school’s cafeteria. You can get the flyer, by clicking here. The costume dance follows.  Earlier in the day there's the Annual Costume Parade. You can find the details here.

At midnight Friday The Strand will be showing Crimson Peak, with follow up shows on Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm. It’s your last chance to see the Strand’s new digital projection, before a new screen is installed before next season, which will make the experience even more spectacular.

Also Friday night there’s live music at at Sticks and Stones, with Vinnie Ledick.  Over at Witherbee’s it’s their annual Halloween Costume Party with rockers Stone Rose. Dinner at 5pm and the band at 8pm. Cash Prizes for best costume in several categories with drink specials all night.

On Saturday night  at The Timberwolf, sporting by far the best decorations on Main Street, there’s gonna be some Monster Mash Karaokee!
