Get Out And Vote Tuesday and Meet Your Candidates Sunday

This coming Tuesday, three candidates are vying for two open seats on the Schroon Lake Town Board.

Marcia Hartnett, an independent,  will compete against Republicans Clara Phibbs and Don Sage.

Newcomer Hartnett is the president of the Paradox Lake Association and resides with herhusband Jim, in LeGoy’s Bay. She has been a year-round resident of Paradox Lake since 2011 and previously spent summers at Paradox since 1963.

Town Supervisor Mike Marnell is running unopposed.

Meanwhile on Sunday evening, you can meet with the candidates at the Mountainside Bible Chapel Gym at 6:00 pm. Candidates running for office in local and county elections will be in attendance to be a part of the program which is open to all candidates.

From MBC:

“A challenge will be given for responsible voting, good citizenship and personal involvement in local government. The evening will conclude with a dessert and coffee social which will give those in attendance time to talk with the candidates in a more informal setting.

This year we have a really good showing of five candidates from Chestertown/Pottersville, so if you live on the “south of the border” please plan to come and encourage members of your community. We also have Six Candidates from the Essex County, and four from Schroon Lake.

The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend. For more information call 532-7128 ext. 3. Mountainside is located on Route 9, four miles south of Schroon Lake village”.
