SCHROON'S SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY PART 2

There’s a lot happening in Schroon this weekend, among them some huge sales for Black Friday. Schroon’s Towne Store and Pinecone Mercantile lead the way of Main Street with some incredible bargains, which you can read about here.

Sticks and Stones is kicking off the weekend with a special acoustic performance by Steve Smith and Friends at 7 pm tonight (Friday). Sunday at 6pm its Ritchie Ortiz.

From the kitchen there’s Wood Fired Peppercorn Encrusted Prime Rib-- Friday and Saturday only, or while supplies last!

Our friends at the Adirondack Museum tell us hey are having a Small Business Saturday event from 10 am – 4 pm in the Visitor Center and Museum Store.  More information about the event, click here.

If you are in the market for a one of a kind holiday gift, check out the fine arts and more at Anthony Ruiz’s Giant Mountain Studio, opposite the Community Church on Leland Ave. They are open Friday and Saturday.

John and Joan Gokey tell us they will be extending their regular  Saturday and Sunday 9 am- 5pm hours of their Gokey’s Outlet Store, through to December 20.

Looking for a place to stay –  or to stash extra visiting guests? There are several options. Right on the beach is The Schroon Lake Place, run by the Jones Family. A great place to be, right in the middle of the action, just steps from downtown. Its access makes it perfect for ice fisherman and sledders. Check their website for availability.

The Schroon Lake B&B, run by Sharon and Mark Piper, is an elegant retreat for a quick weekend getaway. And if you need space for a family group, in a charming B&B with access to a full kitchen, check out the Paradox House.

And close to town there’s the Starry Night Cabins -- which owner Sharon Stein tells us still has rooms for this weekend. They are open all winter and taking reservations for Christmas.

Visit the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce on Main Street for a full list of places to stay.
