Six Survive Horicon House Fire

The Schroon Lake Rescue Squad helped transport six survivors of a fire that destroyed their Horicon home to the hospital on Wednesday, reports the PostStar.

State police arrived at the home on Valentine Pond Road, near the intersection of Meade Road, at 3:20 a.m and found the house engulfed in flames.

From the PostStar: "Horicon Fire Chief Jim Hayes said none of the injuries appeared to be serious, despite initial reports that one of the victims might have been seriously hurt. At least one child was among those taken to the hospital".

Chestertown and Pottersville fire departments aided Horicon in extinguishing the blaze with rescue squads from North Warren, Warrensburg, Minerva and Johnsburg helping transport the survivors. You can read more about the story, here.
