Schroon Lake Gets Top Honors Again In “Best of the ‘Dacks!”
/Three Schroon Lake treasures – a well-known B&B, a microbrewery and a world-class opera and theatre group, scored in the June edition of Adirondack Life Magazine’s “Best of The Adirondacks” readers’ poll.
For the second year in a row, The Tumble Inn was voted by readers as the Best Bed and Breakfast and Seagle Music Colony received top honors as the Best Music Venue.
Schroon’s Paradox Brewery was the runner-up in the Microbrewery category, also for the second year in a row. (The winner was the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery).
Adirondack Life Mag captures the experience a guest might experience at the Tumble Inn: “This beaming yellow landmark charms guests with its wrap around porch and homey vibe. And the food doesn’t hurt either – heaping breakfasts with locally sourced produce and meats from Oscars Smokehouse in Warrensburg.”

It seems fitting the Seagle Music Colony – celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, won as top music venue.

All Stewarts Ice Cream stores – including Schroon’s (which sells the most ice-cream of any of their stores) – was also voted Runner Up. The winner in the category was Donnelly’s Ice Cream in Saranac Lake.
Close to home Hornbeck Boats in Olmstedville won top honors as the Best Boat Builder.
In North Creek, a dining destination for many Schroon Lakers: barVino picked up two top honors, Best bar and best casual dining. Basil and Wicks won as the runner up in the bar category.
Sarah’s Café was voted by readers as the Best Bakery.
