Keeping Our Lakes in Tip Top Shape

In a few short weeks our lakes will be alive with all sorts of activity – among them a flotilla of boats. And by the warmer months of summer, there will be hundreds of watercraft on Schroon and Paradox Lake. And that means hundreds of potential ways that invasive species may make their way into our waterways

But thanks to the efforts of our area’s three lake associations, our lakes – for the time being – is in tip top shape.

A large part if that cab be traced to the efforts of the Lake Stewarts program – where boats and trailers are inspected before they hit the water. And the Schroon Lake Association has openings for stewards – an ideal job for seniors in high school and college students.
