New Look For Schroon’s Visitors Bureau

The Schroon Lake Chamber office on Main Street is sporting a new look. There’s a big screen TV in the front window, featuring photos and a slide show of upcoming events, and a new ramp to the front door.

Inside there’s a more stream lined layout, less clutter and a section featuring books for sale by local authors.  T-shirts and caps are on their way!  (All profits go to the Chamber!)

The make-over is the work of Tammy Whitty Brown, the new executive director of the Schroon Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

“It was time for a little spring cleaning,” Tammy told Schroon Laker. “I had always wanted a TV in the front window to  show off all of our area attractions. Thanks to the Schroon Lions, they made that happe.

“The Schroon Lake Lions Club chose this community project as they wanted to help our visitors and citizens to stay up to date on all the events happening in and around Schroon Lake”.

Lions Club members Glen Repko and Wayne Dewey installed the huge 55 inch TV and laptop, which play the slide show 24 hours a day.

Meanwhile, the Chamber is holding a fundraiser to help purchase two large clear acrylic brochure holder panels (Holding  48 brochures each) and 75-80 clear individual brochure and business card holders for their newly designed space.

“We also would like to purchase some new curtains and do a bit of painting to freshen up the place. So any donation even as little as $5 will be greatly appreciated and forever remembered! “
