Friday night kicks off with Underground Sky playing at Sticks and Stones, one of the summer’s hottest gathering spots. Playing all week at the Strand is Ant-Man at 8pm. Tom Brady performsdown the road Witherbee’s Restaurant starting at 7pm.

The Word Of Life Ranch Rodeo at the WOL Ranch, Route 9 in Pottersville @7pm is the place for family fun.

All weekend Les Miz is at the Seagle Music Colony, but sadly has been SOLD OUT for weeks.

For art lovers check out the new show downtown at Giant Mountain Studio. Opening reception is Saturday at 6pm.

Over at the Paradox Brewery this weekend is a new brew on tap.

Drum Roll please: The PARADOXIAN ALE is their new Belgian IPA. Brew masterDevon Hamilton mixes several character malts with aggressive American hops that seamlessly blend with smooth noble German hops. BAZINGA!!! Look for a beer that jumps out of the glass with fruity yeast derived esters mixed with the complex American/German hop profile.

On Saturday check out the Book Sale by the Friends of the Schroon Lake Library in the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Health Building. 10am - 2pm. Folks are picking up sack loads of bargains!

Also on Saturday the Hobie Cat Sail Around Schroon Lake begins, featuring the sailors from the Central New York Hobie Cat Fleet 204.

The group is a sailing club headquartered in Syracuse, NY. At the invitation of the Schroon Lake Association, they will be visiting the lake at the public dock by the Bandstand all day starting at 10 am. Folks interested in the sport of Hobie Cat sailing should swing by for information about these mighty multi-hull sailboats and regatta racing. There’s also a chance to go for a ride.

Later in the day Fleet 204 will be sailing around Schroon Lake to learn more about wind patterns and will scout potential areas for a possible full sailing regatta in 2016.
