We’ve got the latest news and buzz from the Tri-Lakes Business Alliance, courtesy of Cindy Mead. Here are the General Board Meeting Minutes of January 8, 2016

Electronic Bulletin Board: Sign is very near completion and should be up in front of the NW Chamber of Commerce building by the end of the month! This joint effort between the Chamber and the TLBA will be a great way for all non-profit organizations to advertise their events and is free to all non-profits. To have your event on the sign, contact the Chamber at #494-2722. There will be 3-4 rotating screens so take advantage of this addition to our community!

Thank You Party: The TLBA will be hosting a Thank You event for all companies and groups who donated to the Electronic Sign. Event will be held at The Bull House in Chestertown - date to be determined.

Charlie Brown Christmas Concert: The TLBA sponsored a FREE Christmas Concert as a Thank You to our community just before Christmas and only about 50 people attended (8 children).  This is obviously very disappointing as it was a cost to the TLBA and any suggestions as to what our community would like to see as live entertainment would be appreciated as we're booking events for the upcoming season. A big Thank you to Al & Ellie for organizing this event!

Retirement Party for Fred Monroe: The Chester Town Board, NW Chamber of Commerce & the TLBA will be organizing a retirement party for Fred Monroe on January 29th at Jimbos. Mark your calendars to attend and recognize all the work Fred has done for our community over the   many years he has been in office! $200 was donated by the TLBA to help with this celebration.

Downhill Derby: February 13th.

Brant Lake Winter Carnival: February 20th. Good to go! We have a Plan B if the ice isn't thick enough but let's hope for some cold weather! We will again be having a competition for the King and Queen, with businesses nominating their representatives and getting $1 votes for their pair. Entrants must be 18 or older - The NW Chamber will be having a Prince and Princess for the Down Hill Derby (under age 18) so our area will have a full court this year! Vintage Snowmobile Display, Lake Placid Curling Club, Fry Pan Toss Competition, Broom Ball Contests and the famous Out House Races are again included with a great firework display at dusk so mark your calendars! St. Patrick's Day Parade: March 12th. Meetings will start in February so if you're able to help out, please contact Committee Chair Barbara Thomas by clicking here.

Town Banners: It was suggested we ask the towns to keep our business banners up with the winter holiday banners they put up, but general consensus was to leave it be as it draws more attention to the flags when they are changed up.

There is a Survey Monkey Link on the Internet for local businesses. Click here. Please take the time to fill it out so some of our local businesses can be in the running!

Bike Ride: May 20th

An Adirondack Woof Stock: Father's Day Weekend: June 18-19.  Save the date and pass the word!

New Businesses in Town:
