Freebie For Locals: All Access to Pottersville's Stone Bridge and Caves

One of our area's most popular  -- and longest running tourist attractions in the North Country  -- is open this weekend, free to all locals from Essex and Warren Counties.

Just how long running? Jacob Van Benthuysen, ancestor of the current owners, received the site in the 1700s for Revolutionary War service.

The event is scheduled for 9 am. to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday and will feature the re-opening of the Cave's renovated ice cream stand. You'll need a valid photo identification to prove residence.
