Saturday, for many folks, is move-in day for weekly summer rentals and renters, as well as the arrival of many visitors here for the July 4th weekend.
While stocking up on supplies, be sure to check out the Friends of Schroon Lake Library's freshly stocked Book Store.
There are thousands of new titles, many gently used titles at bargain basement prices. (That’s why they are located in the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Building. From 10am!).
Two new additions on the foodie scene are a must to check out. Vine and Barley continue to get rave reviews for their wine sky shoes, wine by the glass, craft brew beers and small platters.
This intimate and inviting small space has a loyal fan base after opening last year. It’s above the Towne Store with terrific views of Main Street from its screened in porch.
And new to many will be Edward Mark's North Woods Bread Co, where you will find artisanal breads and sweet treats and baked goods, that will have you lined up at the door before opening (at 10am).
Their comestibles are so fly off the shelf goo, ya gotta get their early, otherwise you and your taste buds will be left crying into the very good, freshly brewed coffee that young Edward serves.
You will find the Bread Co in the back of (another new to many) Pinecone Mercantile, Main Street’s newest treasure, with hand selected Adirondack home furnishings and more. Say hi to proprietor Lisa Hess-Marks!
Sunday, it’s DAN the 1 MAN BAND performing LIVE @ Sticks & Stones, from 8pm - 11pm For Info call518-532-9663.
