Fun Times on Line 1! Gokey's Auction Saturday

Bargain hunters, antique dealers and brick-a-brac storeowners will so battle it out today at the regular Gokey’s Auction in North Hudson. Who will buy the above phones we wonder?

Regular readers know we are huge fans of this unique North Country attraction. Depending on the lots, it’s an outing where you will learn about Adirondack history, what certain tools do and what collectables folks pay big bucks for. And as an added bonus, you get to witness the hands down best auctioneer around: John Gokey! And his wry sense of humor.

The first lot goes under the hammer at 11am, with the preview starting at 9.30am. More from John and Jean Gokey:

“Partial contents of a Queensbury home plus a nice selection ofAntiques & Collectibles, Modern and Vintage Furniture & Household Furnishings, Shop Tools, large collection of early telephones, paper and metal pushing, tray lots of collectible glass, ephemera, and much more to make up a well rounded sale of 500 plus lots.  1988 Chevy Corvette (sold with reserve)”
