The Countdown For One of Our Favorite Festivals

Heads up you lovers of winter, you admirers of ice, you devotees to frozen digits: The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival is just around that frozen tundra.

From February 3 to the 12th, on the shores of Mirror Lake, an ice castle becomes the centerpiece of a 10 day Festival. This year's theme is Adirondack Wildlife

“Doonesbury” cartoonist Garry Trudeau  -- who hails from Saranac Lake -- has designed the official poster and button.
