From Tony Tenda: The above cover picture  is from a storm last February, in which we got over a foot of snow. I believe it was this storm that ended a fairly long drought of not having a snowstorm in excess of 10" here in Northern NY for at least 1, maybe 2 winters.

Tony Tenda, Schroon Lake’s most trusted weatherman finally has his own Facebook page. Congrats, mate, on taking this leap. From Tony:

“I've been challenged several times to start my own weather page, so here it is!!! First off, I am not a Meteorologist; I came close, many years ago. What I am is a lifelong observer of weather, Northeast Winter weather particularly. I hope to provide notifications of winter storms, in advance, without spin or over-hype. Also severe weather outbreaks in spring and summer, as well as tropical systems info. Thanks for stopping by!”

Tony’s forecast for December: December is looking to shape up into a wintery pattern. The outlook for a White Christmas is looking better and better for many of us here in the Northeast. I can almost guarantee Northern New York and Northern New England will have a White Christmas. If you like snow and cold around Christmas, I think many of us will be happy. Time will tell.
