South Of the Schroon Border: The Tri-Lakes Business Alliance Kicking It Up
/Our friends in South Schroon are a busy bunch. Here is the latest from their General Board Meeting Minutes, from early May.

Pedal to Plate: May 20th: Adirondack area bike ride, "Pedal to Plate," a 55-mile culinary tour of the North Country circling three scenic lakes and traveling through picturesque Adirondack hamlets. Travels from The Hub in Brant Lake and circles Schroon Lake. Stops are planned at several restaurants so riders can sample their offerings free of charge - restaurants including the Adirondack General Store, Black Bear Restaurant, The Bullhouse, OP Fredericks, Panther Mtn. Inn, Flanagan's Pub & Grill, Sticks & Stones, Cafe Adirondack, The Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, The Crossroads, Paradox Brewery, The Odd Duck, and the ice cream stand at Stone Bridge & Caves. The ride concludes with a tap-takeover from Paradox Brewery at The Hub.
An Adirondack Woof Stock: June 3&4. We still have room for sponsors to be advertised on this year's T-shirts and to be on all the onsite advertising - $100 (checks can be made out to TLBA - PO Box 56 - Chestertown 12817) Let us know asap so we get your name on the shirts! Please let us know if you'd like to help out either beforehand in the planning stages or if you can volunteer either day to sell t-shirts, etc. We're also having a new 2K dog/person walk/run on Sunday at 11AM.... best dressed pair win a prize... walk will start at the Chester field at 11AM, go up Theriot Ave down Pine St. and back to the main field!
Woofstock Revisited on the Mill Pond: June 3 6PM-11PM at the Hub in Chestertown with free pontoon boat rides on the Mill by EZ Marine and possible firework display!!!! Vendors, live music, glow in the dark beach balls - family friendly!
Scholarship Committee: A discussion was held as to whether to give a scholarship to North Warren School this year as there has been no TLBA volunteer activity from this year’s class. A new committee was voted in (Jaki Rainsberger, Jo Anne Nick, Al & Linda Muench and Brandon Himoff) and they will decide what we want to do.
Rack Cards: Have been ordered (10,000 of them to start) - these cards show all the upcoming events in the area so if you can put upa display box in your business just let us know! Thanks to Brandon Himoff for putting these together this year!
It was voted to buy a new white tent for Woof Stock and other TLBA events.
Chestertown Farmer's Market: June 14 - Sept. 20.
Porsche 928 Gala: June 17: +/- 40 cars have signed up and will be on display on the front lawn of the Chester Municipal Center 3PM . Porsche 928's were made from 1977-1995. There will also be a Car Hop at the Panther Mt. Inn that Friday night. Anyone interested in more info can find more info at http://camp928.com or call Curt Austin.
