Two Schroon Main Street Properties Under The Hammer At Tax Auction
/Two prime store front properties on Schroon’s Main Street will be auctioned off at the Essex Country Tax Foreclosure Auction. The auction, which features nine properties in Schroon -- will be held at 11am on August 30 at the Best Western Hotel in Ticonderoga.
The two Main Street properties, which formally housed Joanies Goodies -- and a business known as ADK Community Works -- were last owned by Greg and Joanie Cunningham.
The ADK Community Works structure is described by the auctioneers as a detached two story row building, built in 1910. It features 4050 plus square feet, porches, with waterfront access to Rogers Brook. It is valued at $74,000.
It’s adjacent to the Joanies Goodies store, a detached one story row building built in 1910. It features 1262 plus square feet, with waterfront on Rogers Brook. It is valued at $33,000.
Among the other properties: a modern townhouse built in 2002 at The Landings development, valued at $271,000, a two acre lot on Loch Muller Road ($22,000) and 100 acres of forest at Vanderwalker Road ($37,000).
