Two Schroon Main Street Properties Under The Hammer At Tax Auction

Two prime store front properties on Schroon’s Main Street will be auctioned off at the Essex Country Tax Foreclosure Auction. The auction, which features nine properties in Schroon -- will be held  at 11am on August 30 at the Best Western Hotel in Ticonderoga.

The two Main Street properties, which formally housed Joanies Goodies -- and a business known as ADK Community Works --  were last owned by Greg and Joanie Cunningham.

The ADK Community Works structure is described by the auctioneers as a detached two story row building, built in 1910. It features 4050 plus square feet, porches, with waterfront access to Rogers Brook. It is valued at $74,000.

It’s adjacent to the Joanies Goodies store, a detached  one story row building built in 1910. It features 1262 plus square feet, with waterfront on Rogers Brook. It is valued at $33,000.

Among the other properties: a modern townhouse built in 2002 at The Landings development, valued at $271,000, a two acre lot on Loch Muller Road ($22,000) and 100 acres of forest at Vanderwalker Road ($37,000).
