WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...HEAVY WET SNOW EXPECTED. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES. WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 30 MPH. * WHERE...THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACKS OF NEW YORK. * WHEN...WET SNOW WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA BY 3 PM AND PERSIST THROUGH MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. SNOW COULD BE MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES THIS EVENING. GUSTY SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL ALSO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND ACCOMPANY THE SNOWFALL. SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND WILL BE REPLACED BY DRIZZLE OR PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE FOR THE PRE-DAWN HOURS. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME DIFFICULT LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING. THE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS COULD IMPACT THE EVENING COMMUTE. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
