Three Dead in Sled Accidents in The North Country: Please Be Safe

This weekend three snowmobilers died in accidents, reports NYUP.COM.

This is a painful reminder how dangerous this sport is and how careful all riders must be in determining how fast they should travel based on their level of experience and expertise. Life is too short.  

Two riders died Friday night: Thomas Hetherington, 46, of Middlesex in Yates County, was killed following an accident near Racquette Lake, according to Inlet-Town of Webb Police Chief Ronald Johnson.

Jonathon Black, 23, of Somerset, NJ was killed in the town or Webb, near Old Forge.

NYS police said Luke A. Tyrrell, 18, of Adams, died Sunday morning after he lost control of his snowmobile on Flat Rock Road and hit a tree. Read the full report here.
