Expanding The Narrows: What's Your Take?

There’s a lively discussion on the official Schroon Lake Facebook page started by Bucky Buchholtz, about what folks would like to see at the site of the former Narrows Restaurant.

Ideas range from a food court style space to pizza, Italian and ice-cream jionts. There’s even a couple of shout outs for the return of the mini golf park, demolished several years ago. This prompted us to dig into the Schroon Laker archives. Check out our links from 2017 and 2011 for some background.

Meanwhile, the restaurant --  and the 245 plus acres it is a part of -- is still for sale. The asking price is $2.85 million dollars. It would be an ideal property for a resort or a very large family compound.
