From Schroon’s Own Weather Legend, Tony Tenda:

Forecast for this weekend's storm is finally coming together. Storm is currently over the Pacific Ocean, but will come ashore today and be subject to better weather data collection. Winter Storm Watches have been posted throughout the Northeast. This is not a typical coastal storm, but a storm called a SWFE, south west flow event. From my experience these type storms give the Adirondacks their best snows. Example of a SWFE, 2007 Valentine's Day Storm, 38". I would expect these snowfall maps to be adjusted the closer to Sat. we get.
