The blaze that destroyed the Schroon Lake Community Church and adjoining rectory, has been ruled “accidental” by investigators, reports the PostStar’s Don. Lehman. What started the fire will be announced by investigators later this week.

From Don’s report:

Essex County Emergency Services Coordinator and Fire Coordinator Don Jaquish said investigators returned to the fire scene on Monday to review the remains of the structure and believed they had determined a cause. He said he could not disclose it, however, pending a meeting with the state Office of Fire Prevention and Control later this week.

"We believe we have the cause, but I don't want to release it until we have a meeting with OFPC to finalize some things," Jaquish told the PostStar.
