Schroon's Labor Day Sunday Ends With a Bang

The night sky was awash in colorful explosions as Schroon said goodbye to the summer season on Sunday. The day featured a smorgasbord of activities: for kids it was an array of inflatable challenges in the Town Park, before the annual Street Dance, which returned to Main Street for the first time in several years.

And yet another spectacular Fireworks show – set off from a barge a few hundred feet from the Town Docks – wowed the crowd. But Schroon is still very much opened for business. There’s the extended Seagle Music Colony season, the Monday night acoustic Band Jam at the Boat House, the Witherbee’s Thursday Night Open Mic night and Sticks and Stones will continue to host local musicians.

There’s also the Adirondack Marathon weekend, and, in the days ahead, leaf peeping. Got an event to share? Tell us about it in our comments section.
