The new owners of the Schroon Lake Laundromat are taking a novel approach to marketing their new business.

Lorraine and Jack Brown are opening a new chapter for the Schroon Lake Laundromat, which will now be known as Lorraine’s Lakeside Laundry and Literary Café. The couple purchased the business from Lori Day Decker. The deal closed last week. More of the story from Lorraine:

“Hi folks, I just wanted to say hello as not just your neighbors, but also the new owners of the Schroon Lake Laundromat. We will keep the hours the same, and in the coming weeks and months we'll introduce some upgrades, including technology, as well as expanded drop-off/pick-up service. Since I'm a semi-retired English professor and academic advisor who loves to read (as well as fold clothes), I'm also going to be there a lot sharing my literary quotes, books, and a passion for creating spoken word opportunities from our space regularly in the future.

We are so happy to serve our community in this capacity. If you have any questions or need pick-up or drop-off service, feel free to reach out to us anytime at admin@lorraineslakesidelaundry.com and check out our regular announcements on our web site, by clicking here.

Congrats to the Browns on their new business.
