No Shirt, No Shoes, No Mask, No Service!
/Schroon Laker Jill Reilly shares her experience on the frontlines in the restaurant business:
“Servers at restaurants and bars are following state mandates. Our policies are not OUR fault. Please don't try barging past us because you refuse to wear a mask to enter, not tip us because you don't like the state mandates (we make 7.80 per hour), or worse, scream at us! We are just doing our jobs. It is hard enough having to wear a mask our entire shift, make very little because we are only allowed half capacity, but being yelled at, belittled and demeaned several times a day is mentally exhausting. Please be kind and put yourself in our shoes”.
