There have been a number of questions and comments (and speculation) over the past few days about Schroon Lake's Fourth of July Celebration. We understand and appreciate this is an event that draws quite a bit of attention. The Chamber has been working directly with Essex County leadership and Town Supervisor Subra as we continue to consider all options for the Fourth. We expect to make a final decision and formal announcement in the coming days. Please be assured that this decision is being made based on guidance from the State, input from the County, and with the safety and well-being of residents, visitors, participants, organizers and volunteers as our main concern.
