Guests will enjoy about a one hour horseback ride from the starting point. Your guides will pack the lunches or snacks you have brought to be enjoyed at a secluded, tranquil area overlooking a lovely stream. After resting at the stream, you will mount your horses and head back on a 1 hour ride to the ranch. Along the way you will pass through hickory, white birch and pine forests. At your request, and if you're ready, your guide may also take you for a short, off the trail excursion, “bushwacking” where you and your horse will navigate off trail and get a feel for how Lewis and Clark must have felt stepping foot where no other man or horse had traveled before.

Your ride will be concluded back at the ranch but not before (weather permitting) you have the opportunity to view “The High Peaks” of NY's Adirondack Mountains. On a clear day the tallest mountain, “Mt Marcy,“ can be seen among other high peaks 30 miles north!
