More music, more food, more fun – did someone say Schroon Lake? . And of course heart felt celebrations on Memorial Day for our Vets. Here are some updates below to our already published guide.

Paradox Brewing Company has extended hours to celebrate the holiday weekend. Friday 12-7, Saturday, 12-6, Sunday 12-4 & Monday 12-5. As always Veteran's receive a discount!

Jennifer Raymond Gadway and Archie Anderson from Dogtown Cadillac are ready to start off a rocking summer with you at the Timberwolf from 8pm – 12 pm Friday night. The famous ‘Wolf Karaoke is back on Saturday night.

On Saturday, at the Schroon Lake Storage Units, it’s our town’s version of the hot TV show Storage Wars --- when several units will be opened up and the contents sold. Unlike the TV show, the items are for individual sale – not the whole unit!

On Sunday the Schroon Lake Boy Scout Troop is serving up their famous pancakes at the Fish and Game Club from 7am to 12pm. This is a must do Memorial Day tradition.

Giant Mountain Studio, Schroon’s Fine Art Gallery, features more than two dozen amazing artists from the North Country and beyond. Their hours are Thursday – Saturday 10am to 5pm. (Located on the corner of Leland Avenue and the main street at 1094 US Route 9 in Schroon Lake, NY).

On Memorial Day there is the annual salute to our vets by the Word Of Life, in their moving tribute, this year featuring special guest speaker Major Scott Smiley, the first blind Army Company Commander.

There will also be a service on Monday at the Town Park in downtown Schroon. The American Legion Post 982 and VFW Post 362 will hold their annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25th, at 10:00 am at the Veteran's Memorial on Dock street, across from Stewart's. At 11:00 am, the ceremony will be held in North Hudson at their memorial, next to the Town Hall.
