RIP: Lyanne Anslow

 The Post-Star reports Lyanne M. Anslow passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Lyanne’s  friends may call from 4pmto 7 pm Thursday (June 30), at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, 1019 Route 9, Schroon Lake.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Schroon Lake. Yu may visit www.edwardlkellyfuneralhome.com to leave online condolences.

The Reason Why You Love Your Paradox Brews

We’ve always admired the fruit forward notes that are in most of the golden nectars that flow from Schroon’s Paradox Brewery.  What we didn’t know was how they (scientifically) gets there.-- until now:. It's referred to by brewers as “Brett” short for:  BRETTANOMYCES…now doesn’t that roll nicely off the tongue.

Paradox head brewer Devon Hamilton gives the short version of what your new friend “Brett” is all about (and the odors he gives off) in a video in our Food and Drink section. While there, Beer Nerds can soak themselves in the science version!
