The White Stuff On Black Friday

What do canned goods, boxes of pasta, skiers wearing shorts, a construction site in a bar and exposed rocks have in common?

You would have seen all of them yesterday at Gore Mountain’s opening day. By our count, around 400 or so skiers and boarders took to the trails, while where guessing millions more hit the stores for Black Friday shopping.

By bringing non perishable goods  (two items per person) you saved a cool $20 bucks per ticket! That promotion continues today.

The sunshine had skiers removing layers and some brave souls hit the slopes in shorts and tees.

Open were the Northwoods Gondola and Sunway chair. Conditions early were Spring like – and for the most part good --  with some exposed rock and grass evident by the afternoon. A total of five trials were open and there was no waiting time for the gondola or lift. There were a couple of Terrain Park Elements open, accessible via the chair lift. The renovation to the Tannery Pub is in full tilt boogie.
