Each year at Christmas the lights sparkle brightly in Schroon, as folks celebrate the season, from downtown Main Street to high up on Charley Hill Road. And each year the Chamber of Commerce sponsors a contest -- with some terrific prizes -- to reward home owners and businesses who out do themselves getting into the spirit of the season.
