The Schroon Laker Calendar

You asked for it and now you have it. Schroon Laker is proud to launch our very own CALENDAR, an easy to use resource to plan your next adventure to Schroon Lake and surrounding towns. The new CALENDAR is in the top bar  -- just under the Home buton under the Schroon Laker masthead.

The CALENDAR comes about as our readership grows each month. The emails we get from readers have told us you want an easy to access to an internet based guide. You want to know about  music, food, arts and crafts, faith outdoor and lake related events!

You want to know where to Zumba! And you want to know the key dates of events so you can plan your trip here.

“Folks have told us they specifically plan their vacation to Schroon around the date of the Kids Fishing Derby,” one of the organizers, Joe Steiniger told us.

This guide is designed for locals, year ‘round residents, second home owners, vacationers who return year after year and day trippers. We promise not to let you down.

The beauty of this guide is that it can be updated 24/7 – and no matter where in the world you read Schroon Laker from, you will know exactly what events are coming up and make your plans accordingly.

Right now we are pleased to break the exciting news that the Schroon Lake Arts Council has already signed their opening act: the world famous "Acoustic Eidolon" on Tuesday, June 25th at 8pm in the Boathouse.

The Seagle Music Colony schedule is also set and the General Director Tony Kostecki  is excited about the upcoming season, which includes two operas that he hopes will find new audiences:  Albert Herring and Eugene Onegin.

“While these are not super popular they provide great parts for our students,” Tony  told Schroon Laker.

“We always try and do what the audience will enjoy, while enhancing the training of our students.”

The CALENDAR will be a continual work in progress – as events are added on a regular basis. If you have an event that you want listed, email us at schroonlaker@me.com . Or you can just add it in the comments section for the month that it’s on and we will add it to the official list. What do you think of the new guide? Tell us in comments.
