Tonight – there’s only one place you should be if you wanna chill to some rocking music – and that’s at Witherbee’s for their Open Mic Night, kicking off tonight at 6.30 pm.

Under the direction of Mark Piper -- who you can hear belting out a fine version of East Bound and Down in the above video -- you are gonna have a good time.

The AdirondacKatz

And speaking of Mark, when he’s not doing his solo thing or jamming with the Open Mic musos, you can find him moonlighting in his newest musical gig – The AdirondacKatz.

The AdirondacKatz -- Mark on guitar and his buddy Chris on upright bass -- play a very cool mix of rockabilly, rock and western swing. You can catch them at the upcoming Schroon Lake Opening Weekend when they take the stage at 3 pm at the Bandstand in the Town Park.

They are also playing a gig at Cashin's Cobble Hill Inn on Saturday, June 9th at 5:00PM. 7432 Us Route 9 Elizabethtown, NY 12932

The Inlaws

We have some sad news to share about our favorite ADK country rockers, The Inlaws: They have split up. But there is a silver linning here to this musical gray cloud: Lead singer Joe McGuinness and his brother the drummer have started a new band called Long Shot. Thye other In Laws members -- Danny Ray Edwards and his father-inlaw, the band’s the bass player -- might be doing something in the future.
