More than 20 vendors will be part of the Summer Expo, and the list is growing every day, organizer Shelby Davis said today.

“We’ve got a really cool mix of people from the community, those selling their wares and those giving demonstrations and workshops,” Shelby said.

Recent vendors who have signed up include Schroon Lake's own True North Yoga, Adirondack Aroma Therapy, North Creek Designs, and Essex Industries, who will be selling woven baskets made by folks with disabilities.

There will also be a roll over crash exhibit by New York State Troopers and a display by Schroon Lake EMS volunteers.

“We are also very excited about a 25 foot high mobile rock climbing wall, sponsored by Green Thumb Nursery in Fort Anne. It’s for all ages and offers three levels of difficulty.”

The wall will be in the Town Park on both Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 6 pm. There will be a free belly dancing demonstration at the True North Yoga booth at 4 pm on Saturday, provided by Natalie Kalinowicz. Natalie, a Canadian who summers here in Schroon each year, was a huge hit at Deb Philp’s True North Yoga last year. Don;t forget Debbie will be giving a free yoga class from 5 pm - 5.30 pm in the Town Park.

And this just in: artist extraordinaire Anne Gregson will be giving printmaking demonstrations all afternoon (from 2 pm – 8 pm), on how to use a printing press to create an etching.

On Sunday there will be a demonstration and educational talk featuring an owl, falcon and a hawk made possible by Wendy and Steve Hall from Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehab Center at the Town Park at 11:30 am on Sunday, May 27. That will follow the Trout Release by the team from Schroon Lake Central School.
