Fresh From The Farmers Market

If it’s Monday, it’s time to stock up with a week’s worth of provisions from Schroon Lake’s Monday Farmers Market.

And we’ve got a market report from from the farm with vendor Henry Drinkwine, From Drinkwine Produce in Ticonderoga.

“We’ve got string beans, red tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, cucumbers, green and yellow zucchini squash, garlic and onions,” Henry told us.

“Know your farmer, know your food," he added.

The market features artisan cheeses, jams, baked goods, fresh meat, wine and maple syrup, just to mention a small sampling of what they’ve got.

And many of the vendors accept New York State Farmer’s checks, Henry reminds us.

Where and When: The lawn in front of the Town Hall. Leland Ave, Schroon Lake. 9 am – 1pm every Monday.
