Monday Night Boat House "Jam" and Ice Cream

Every Monday night, the Boat House comes alive with the acoustic jam session, attracting dozens of folks to both the stage and the seats.
The sound of music will be ringing out Monday night, but in a slightly different format, as the Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society hosts its annual Old Tyme Song Fest and Ice Cream Social.

Local legend, Dr. Susan Tillotson, who has directed numerous choral groups from schools, colleges and community organizations, will lead the singing, our spies tell us.

From the Historical Society :
Special thanks to John Trainer who will accompany Sue and the other talented community musicians in this free concert: Patrice Munsel, noted Opera and Broadway Performer; and Anders Namestnik, soloist from Canajoharie, A Women's Quintet and Mixed Quartet Barbershop groups. Special thanks to Marie and Jarvis Baillargeon who have coached and encouraged so many musically talented individuals over the years.

Please come and enjoy singing like you, your parents or grandparents did at family gatherings or around the campfires. More than 50 songs to choose from like: "When You Wore a Tulip," "Danny Boy" and "Put on Your Old Gray Bonnet" to name a few.

Even if you think you can't sing, this is a fun-filled musical evening for all ages. Ice Cream Social immediately following the Sing-A-Long.
