Chalk up another first for Schroon Lake – its first ever Jazz Fest.

The festival will feature jam sessions at local restaurants and concerts at the Seagle Music Colony and The Boathouse. It’s organized by jazz legend Amy London, who will be hosting a Jazz Camp  using the facilities of the Seagle Music Colony.

The first jam session kicks off Wednesday night, August 22nd  at Witherbee’s Carriage House, with another jam at Mr. P’s Mountain Smokehoue on Thursday. On Friday night students at the jazz camp will perform at the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theatre at 7.30pm.

On Saturday night at the Boathouse Amy London and Mark Murphy headline a faculty concert with Irka Mateo, Dylan Pramuk, Darmon Meader and Holli Ross.
