With snow makers blasting non-stop over the last week, there will be enough of the white stuff this weekend to give avid snowboarders and skiers a taste of what awaits us this winter.

Gore will be opening this Saturday and Sunday with Jamboree serviced by the Sunway Chair. The resort hopes to have a park features on The Arena open as well.

And there’s special rates to get you onto the slopes: Ages 13 and over hit the slopes for just $18, and ages 7-12, $9  -- as long as you donate  two non-perishable food items per person for the resort’s holiday drive. And if you still want to get a great deal on a season pass – Gore has extended their deadline two days until Sunday.

Meanwhile, snowmakers are working away on a two-mile stretch from the gondola down that combines Foxlair, Sunway, 3B, Quicksilver, and Jamboree. They hope to be open for the weekend of Saturday, the 23rd and Sunday, the 24th.
