/Oh, the weather outside will be...who knows, it's the Adirondacks after all!!!. As of this writing, (late Tuesday night) the National Weather Center is forecasting overnight snow before 1 am, then sleet between 1 am and 2 am, then freezing rain after 2 am. Low could be around 27 for Schroon and surrounding towns.
Then there will be a calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Wednesday:
"Rain. High near 43. Northeast wind 11 to 16 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible. Wednesday Night : Rain, snow, and sleet before 1am, then a chance of snow. Low around 14. Northwest wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible".
