We are huge fans of the Schroon Lake Library: from their dedicated librarians, kids activities, free movies, computer support and training, e-books and their fund raising group, The Friends of Schroon Lake Library. (FOSLL)

And a lot of their budget comes from the fundraising efforts of FOSLL and their summer time book sales, in the basement of the Hudson Headwaters Health Care Building. And like a lot of Schroon Lake, they will be kicking off their season early, with Schroon’s Opening Weekend, over Memorial Day, with a huge book sale.

So mark your calendars for Saturday, May 25^t, from 10am to  2pm, where all books are half price and all VHS tapes are just 10 cents a piece.

And if you have a bunch of books, CDs, or DVDs that are just sitting around, why not drop them off while you are there. For more information you can email Jane Bouchard at  library@schroon.net.
