An Amazing Kick Off To The Schroon Lake Arts Season

By Jack Osborne

Acoustic Eidolon, featuring Joe Scott on double neck guitar and Hannah Alkire, a classically trained musician on cello, will open the Schroon Lake Arts Council's 2013 season at the Boathouse on Tuesday night.

The duo from Colorado, have graced stages throughout the US, Europe, Australia and Canada.

With 9 CD’s and a DVD to their credit, these masterful artists continue to captivate audiences throughout the world with their signature “new acoustic” sound. They blend Celtic, Folk, World & Latin music influences into a sumptuous musical feast.

Their original sound is created by the mixing of their diverse musical backgrounds and their unusual instrumentation, including the one-of- a-kind double neck guitjo, and instrument of Joe’s own design, with a harp like sound and Hannah’s classical background on the cello, taking it places it’s never been before.

The show starts at 8 PM and tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students. Credit cards are now being accepted, new for the 2013 season.
