The official obituary, from the PostStar, on the passing of Schroon Laker Gloria Shaughnessy:

"Gloria J. Shaughnessy, 66, passed away suddenly Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Gloria was born Jan. 17, 1947, in Tupper Lake, N.Y., the daughter of George and the late Marjorie (Cole) Boudreau.

Gloria graduated from Long Lake High School and Albany Business College. She worked for many years as a waitress. Her last days of employment were with Gourmet Gals of Ticonderoga.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Shaughnessy Sr., and their three sons, Michael Shaughnessy Jr. of Latham, N.Y., Dana (Marylou) Shaughnessy of Schroon Lake and Greg Shaughnessy of Wilton, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Sean Shaughnessy of Glens Falls, Jesse and Alex Shaughnessy of Schroon Lake, William and Lucas Shaughnessy of Latham; her brothers, Scott Boudreau of Climax, N.Y., Daniel (Marjorie) Boudreau of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Randy (Nancy) Boudreau of Schenectady, N.Y., and Martin (Yong) Boudreau of Guam; her sister, Melanie (Michael) Marcone of Yonkers, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, 1019 U.S. Route 9, Schroon Lake, with the Rev. Richard Sturtz officiating.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the service at 5 p.m.

The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to Schroon Lake Emergency Squad, Schroon Lake, NY 12870".
