It’s going to be a rockin’ weekend over in North Creek with the 6th installment of WayneStock, which raises money and awareness for The North Country Hardship Fund.
The not-for-profit organization started with a benefit concert in 2008 to help local Wayne Bukovinsky who needed a lot of help after a serious motorcycle accident. Wayne’s future was bleak and the small community of North Creek rallied around him to help him with his medical bills.
The first event was a small concert held at Ski Bowl Park. To say Wayne was humbled by the outpouring of love and support from the community is an understatement.
Incredibly, with the support of his family and wife Tammy -- and dozens of caring souls -- Wayne made an unbelievable recovery. That event inspired Wayne to create The North Country Hardship Fund (NCHF) to provide relief to others in similar positions. The NCHF is a 501© 3 organization set up to assist those with recent tragedies in Warren, Washington, Essex, Hamilton and Saratoga Counties in New York.
The action starts at 12 noon at Ski Bowl Park in North Creek, NY. There’s also a raffle of a 2012 Harley Davidson. Here is the full line up:
