A Big Finish For Schroon Laker Travis Stone

Travis Stone, a former Schroon Laker, has landed one of the most prestigious jobs in the horse racing industry: being named as the track announcer at the world famous Churchill Downs Race Track. Among his duties? Calling a rather small race known as the Kentucky Derby! Stone is a former race announcer at New Jersey’s Monmouth Park Racetrack.  Check out Travis's Demo Reel (above) to get acquainted with his energized and unique calling style. More about Travis's big promotion from Louisville Business First reporter Marty Finley:

“Stone, 30, will take over when racing returns at the 2015 Spring Meet in April. He is the eighth announcer in Churchill Downs history and replaces Larry Collmus, who left the racetrack after a year to call races at the New York Racing Association. Oddly enough, Stone replaced Collmus at Monmouth Park, too, in 2014". You can read more of the story, here.
