Sleds, Trails, Beer, Chili = One Great Poker Run
/New to the this year’s run are three new stops on the trail: Schroon’s 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off at the Mountainside Gym, The Paradox Brewery across the street, and sled friendly newcomer restaurant Sticks and Stones.
“A big part of the Poker Run is to bring new people to our area,” Dwayne said. “Events like this are great economic drivers. It gives folks a chance to see our town and visit and sample offerings from our local restaurants.”
The number of participants in the event has fluctuated from around a low of 60 riders up to 130 in years with lots of the white stuff. “It all depends on the snow coverage, so right now it’s looking good.”
Dwayne said he is hoping for a big turn out this year. “We have utilized social media, Facebook and Twitter,to get the word out to other clubs".
