The beautifully restored farmhouse that is now the Tumble Inn Bed and Breakfast, was voted by readers of Adirondack Life Magazine as the ‘Dacks best B&B.
And the runner up was another Schroon institution, The Schroon Lake Bed and Breakfast.
Readers voted newcomer to Schroon, The Paradox Brewery, as the runner up in the Beer section. The Lake Placid Pub and Brewery took first place.
Top honors in the best music venue went to Schroon’s own Seagle Music Colony.
In outer Schroon, a favorite restaurant of many ‘Lakers, The Adirondack Café, in Pottersville, was named as the Best Fine Dining in all of the Adirondack Park.
The runners up is another favorite of many ‘Lakers, The Owl at Twilight, in Olmstedville.
“Wow, this is great,” said a surprised Tony Kosteki, when we told him the news.
Tony was wearing his two hats -- as the President of the Schroon Lake area Chamber of Commerce -- and the artistic director at the Seagle Music Colony.
“It goes to show that the community of Schroon is very strong and people are happy to get the word out about how great Schroon is,” he said.
“I want to give credit to the people on Facebook and the websites that support Schroon Lake, that encouraged people to get out and vote. This sure is something for our little town.”
