Get Out And Vote Tuesday
/The polls are open from 12 noon to 8pm (May 19) to approve the school budget and elect a new school board member for a five-year term. On the ballot, according to the Post-Star:
The 2015-16 Budget (proposed): $7.74 million
That breaks down to a spending increase: $180,000.
2014-15 tax levy: $6.16 million 2015-16 tax levy: $6.26 million
Tax levy increase: $94,000, 1.5 percent
Ballot propositions: Purchase one 65-passenger school bus at a cost not to exceed $104,000; put $300,000 from fund balance into a repair reserve fund to pay for the cost of repairs to capital improvements or equipment.
