Gokey’s Auction: A True North Country Experience

If you are visiting for the summer, passing through or just happen to find yourself with a couple of hours to spare, there’s nothing quite like attending a Gokey’s Auction.

And there's one today at their auction headquarters and store in North Hudson.

Besides seeing history up close and personal, and having the chance to own a piece of yesteryear, there’s the sheer joy in watching auctioneer John Gokey run the show.

He’s an award-winning gabber and he’s earned that title. His fast talking, no-nonsense and deadpan humor makes the event a very enjoyable outing.

Today’s auction is a barn buster: From John :

“A nice selection ofAntiques andCollectibles, Modern, Vintage Furniture andHousehold Furnishings, framed art andmirrors, tray lots of glass andcollectibles, ephemera, buttons,   tools, shop equipment and much more to make up a well rounded sale of 500 plus lots”.

Besides fine collectables, there are always a series of rock bottom bargains, especially for those looking to fill out there tool collection.

The preview starts at 9:30 am. The hammer is down at 11 am.
